Canon iR5570 - Scangear on Windows 7 x64?

Has anyone gotten this to work? I've tried Scangear 2.21, even tried color scangear (which totally doesn't work, we expected that) but so far no love.

I can install the application fine and I can discover the scanner but when I run a scanner app (Microsoft Office MOD) it does not see that the scanner is installed.

Scan gear for W7 not exist,try send option.

Thanks, I was able to work up a solution involving XP Mode. It works like a charm!

If anyone is interested I can put up a how-to.

This should work for any other scanner/win7 issue as well.

ScanGear 2.21 and Windows 7 x64

I have been having the same problem getting ScanGear to work. I even downloaded a european version (2.30) but it doesnt work either. Can you tell me what you did to fix the problem?

I got it to work! I use the xp virtual pc and installed the print and scan drivers there. It works like a charm however the typical user is not going to like it.
