Can anyone tell me how to send a fax on this machine from hell?

I can normally figure out the most complex machines with no instructions whatsoever, but Canon of course can make a machine where even I can't figure out how to send a fax to save my life even while following the directions exactly.

On all HP machines I have it's as simple as entering the phone number and press send.

On the Canon MF8350Cdn, I enter the phone number, press send, it dials and then doesn't do anything and asks "Choose recipient" or "Enter destination" or something along those lines.

What more does it want than a phone number?

Can anyone please tell me how to send a fax with this machine from hell?

Anyway with all these problems canon has made sure I never buy another printer/copier from them, it was my first and last Canon printer or copier.

I can figure out how to use any machine without the instruction manual until I unfortunately bought a POS Canon copier.

How am I supposed to understand what "Enter destination" means when sending a fax AFTER having entered the fax number and the machine dialed? Only canon would make such an idiotic product.

Anyway I gave up, pulled out the desk and plugged the phone line back into the HP where it's as simple as entering the phone number and press send.

But seriously, if anyone has ever figured out how to send a fax on this atrocious canon machines please let me know.
