    I had a customer (copy-shop) with a iR7105 with a strange problem.

Each afternoon round 4 pm, the finisher of the copier would go crazy. Trays going down on themselves. When operator would go in front of the copier, trays would go up to normal position. When operator left, trays would go crazy again.

First I thought : Ozone must have made some huge build-up in their brains.
But at the end I found out that round 4 pm the sun was facing the copier and the finisher also. As a result the sun light would reflect on the sensors and that's why trays were going down. When operator would be in front of machine, no sun light = trays back to their position.
    Go figure...

          Pics are only an example

          look under Tray B/

U have a stuck or broken tray sensor/
Tray B DROPS because it can't detect it's position

have seen this issue many times on Finishers with Two Trays
