Canon 745 Paper Pickup Roller not moving

    [Misc] Canon 745 Paper Pickup Roller not moving

    Hello All!

    My mom has a Canon 745 in her office that she loves and it seems like it doesn't feed the paper anymore. Looking at the roller it doesn't move. Considering the things that are common to fail in this model what do you think it is? I would love to save her some money and fix it for her as she said everything else ran fine before that.

          Hey teckcat, thanks for the reply! yes i've seen this thread and just wanted to make sure it was the problem before i opened the printer up anymore

          This is the roller that my mom said wasn't working when it used to

              That problem was a little different --poster had a spring issue on reg. roller clutch I believe

              that roller u show is for pick-up out of the cassette I believe-
              did u try and wipe it clean with a damp cloth ???

              could be a spring clutch/control ring>issue-there is a pawl which is connected to a solenoid

              open it up and post a picture
