[Error Code] e110(laser error)error on clc500

hey guys. can the e110 (laser error) on canon clc500 be cleared. if not how else can i rectify this problem. i have done almost everything there is including cleaning all the mirrors but it still shows. do i need to replace the laser unit. someone please help with a way to go about it.

press the star key(*) on control panel
press the memory keys>M1 and M2 at the same time
press the star(*) key

press reset key to leave




CLC-500/550
When you get a code 110 (laser code) remove laser cover and check the window to the mirror. It gets a buildup that looks like little beads. Remove mirror and blow out with air. Be very careful with the mirror. Fixes the problem 85% of the time.
To fix the problem of build up in the window, make sure the lock for the laser is up and not touching the top of mirror. Its hard to tell if its up all the way.
