[Error Code] IR 3230 - How do I empty the waste toner tank

I have just received a Canon IR3230. It states that the waste toner cartridge is full. Where do I find the waste toner tank on this unit and how do I empty/replace.

This printer is not under a maintenance contract. I don't understand why I need to call a Canon tech. There has to be a procedure that someone can share with me short of me having to call someone in and pay out the nose for something I can easily do with some guidance.

Check in your Operator's manual : It probably shows how to empty the WTB or if you do not have a manual and are NOT a tech...Call in a tech to handle this for you.

thanks....I have the full compliment of manuals. I searched both the electronic media for the WTB and also paged through the paper manuals. There was no reference to it.

I would not have posted here prior to researching the manuals and various online sources.

There was no reference to it because you need a screwdriver to get box.

U buy one new container/ FM2-0303-000)
emptying is a mess

Point to note after attaching the waste toner
receptacle
After attaching the waste toner receptacle, move the
waste toner full detection lever up and down to
make sure that the lever is moved smoothly. Faulty
detection may be resulted if the lever is caught in
something and is not moved smoothly.
