hello guys..i have a machine canon ir clc 3200 that need to setup on the network or work a a printer using lan cable...this is my first time to setup a connection of this kind of model.. now i notice that this machine having a small box on the back of the machine and i think it is called fiery controller it have a 2 port connetion for rj45 connector and 1 port separate out of the fiery controller it was on the side of the machine..
this is what i've done.
1. i used the port from the side of the machine ( not on the fiery controller ) the connection was ng per to per it was connected using router.. i set the machine in DCHP to automatic have a ip address..then i try to ping and it works..
2. i installed the driver, using win 7 operating system and driver for machine compatible with win 7.
3. then after i finish installing, i try to configure the paper setting on the printer driver and make a test print.. after that theres no print out put..
4. i try another pc with o/s win xp and driver for the machine compatible with win xp the same problem no print output..
5 i dis connect all the connection cables and try to used the said fiery controller connect the lan cable on the network port of the fiery controller ( lower part of the controller) and run the ping command..but no connection the ping was not working.
6. i try to dis connect all cables from router to pc and machine,
7. make another connection using cross cable.. pc to machine only..using fiery controller,,in the upper part of it i connect the cross cable the to the pc. and try to ping no luck same problem still not working on ping command.
but if i use the port from the side of the machine the ping command is working but no luck for printing..sir do you have some ideas on how to configure my problem i almost trouble shooting this almost 2days.. all your help would be appreciated..thank you very much in advance and more power...wait for all your reply..thnks you sir/mam..
