Canon V1/V2 finisher on an IR7095 mulitiply codes, E540-8003, E57B-8001 and more

I am not real familar with this finisher.
A new customer called me to fix his finisher code E535-8002.
I found this to be one of the sensors on the motor encoder wheel.
It was knocked out of its mount. So I re-installed it. That code
    went away.
Now, I get 5 different code depending on where the trays are.
    Here are the codes:

E540-8003-Tray approach switch fault, output is on
E57B-8001-Fault in paper trail edge HP sensor or trail edge motor
E578-8001-Fault in transpot belt HP sensor or transport belt shift motor
E57A-8002-Paper edge area sensor or paper stop shift motor
E566-8002-Fault in Shift roller unit HP sensor or horizontal registration shift motor

I am told the last tech that tried to fix it was trying to adjust the
sensors along the rails for the trays. They tell me this after the
    first 2hrs.
I have the manual and will be reading it for a clue.
If anyone has a suggestion I would be happy to hear it.

    Thanks

Thank you for that information. It looks like what I need. I will check these things
on my next trip. Maybe tomorrow.

that last tech had some fun with the copier

          Will it run 1 copy?
will it run in Limited Functions Mode?

Once I had a multiple ecode V2 which turned out to be a bad motor that blew the motor driver board.
those motors will die, and blow the driver board,
Check the fuses on the driver board for a clue.

I adjusted the knurled belt nonsense and can get it to make a set or two now. Any reason those infernal belts enjoy sado-masochism and getting tangled up so much?

Sounds like it is time to replace the knurled belt assembly.

Ordering the BELT CONTROL UNIT. Is failure usually due to tension not being maintained? Anything else I should suspect?

*Picked this call up after another company spent a month on it. Somehow the punch (which is installed) is not showing up as an option and is not recognized by the machine. They may have replaced the finisher control PWB (can't read their writing) Couldn't find any solutions in the manual.

It is possible to turn the punch off . If all bits of SW381 are off = no punch
Sw381 in the front of the finisher should have #2 from the left on (UP) for 2/3 hole punch.

The only cause of failure I know is wear and tear
If you ore only changing the control unit , you should consider new belts.

never underestimate the stupidity of others. I kept looking at the knurled belts and could not figure out why they were designed so stupidly. Turns out the last service company had them installed wrong. Hole punch and stapling back up and running. Thanks for all the help
