Canon IR8500N hang when startup

    Canon IR8500N hang when startup

    Hi all, i have machine ir8500n, my problem is when i turn on the machine i can see the word "Wait" and the progress bar run until 25% and then hang.. I've cleared the memory RAM maybe soiled by the dust using the eraser but the machine still hang or no respon until progress bar 25%, what can i do..? thank you

      Normally what i did is we need to check few things.

      DDR Ram (i will install to running CPU to make sure the ram is working)
      Bootrom (Will swap with other same machine's bootrom)
      Hardisk (connect to computer as external to make sure its detecting)
      Main PCB Controller (Test with other same machine's Main PCB)
      DC Controller (Test with other same machine's DC Controller)

      Theres a case happen to me before. I took out the Main PCB and clean all the dust around including cleaning the small fan on right hand side of Main PCB. Its run after putting it back.

        it almost sounds like the hardrive to me..any error codes come up?

            It means I have to have one more machine with the same type... i'll try..

              your system software may be corrupt, or your hard drive failing

                I've done the test ... The main control board was troubled
