    [Error Code] E000740-0002

    How are you guys doing?
    Well, Trying to fix my iRC 3220 slow printing, i was reseating ethernet board, Changing crossover cable, Clean end of the Dimm Card, etc after doing that, a new Error code jump, E000740-0002, i know E000740 is related to Software version, Ethernet Board (NIC)... i'm not sure but i may have to buy a new ethernet board.. My question is: Do somebody knows, what the error code E000740-0002 exactly means?
    I have been reaseating everything after the error shows, but no success.
    Any suggestion will be apreciated.

    i already fix the Error, reseating the Network Board then machinne start normally, but the printer status shows "Please Wait" but the server never become to Idle status.
    Any Help will be apreciated.

        00= ON BOX IS GOOD SIGN/ fiery firmware is good

        u have either a bad interface cable / or open interface cable pcb is bad/or pin damage on Main pcb for it

        i know u tried the re-install procedure already


        can u see printer in RUI on PC ??

          Detail Description Timing of detection
          0002 The MAC address is illegal

            Well, i already changed the interface board, Hit *28*, INT FACE=0 then restarted machine, then INT FACE=3 then turned off machine, plugged back interface cable and crossover cable, from Fiery C2 To Printer, then turn on the machinne, LCD shows ready to copy, but after a few secunds got freeze, LCD doesn't respond to anything.
            Suggestions are really apreciated!

                are buttons/keys frozen ?? if so see below

                if LCD is frozen >no response --Control Panel Lock-Up

                power off printer> then power up>
                NEED TO BE OUICK>when LCD first shows> get in service mode
                Try clearing MMI

                Printer will try to connect to the Device at Turn On. You will have to get back into Service Mode and re-establish the the Interface Connection.

                Select COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>MMI. Next turn off the machine. This process will clear backup data for the copy operation panel. Note: It will be necessary to re-select the printer option and set it to "3" after this procedure.

                  Thanks teckat, one more question: it is necessary unplug all cables from fiery c2 before doing this procedure?

                      I would uninstall Fiery hardware from machine and see if copy function works.

                      If copier works, it is tied to the Fiery.

                      If Fiery system software is corrupt, the network function won't initialize.
                      Typical Fiery. I won't even work on them anymore because of lack of support.
                      Why do they call it common sense?

                      If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

                        well, i am done with this (clearing MMI) procedure, no success.
                        after all that procedure.
                        i disconeted the fiery cables and turned on the machine, i hit *28* INT FACE= 0, turn off and on again, i did tryed to make copies, everything work fine on copy mode. then i hit *28* INT FACE= 3, Turned off machine, plugged back fiery's cables, then turned on the machine, the LCD shows Ready to print screen, after a few seconds got freezed again, i am really tired with this issue. Canon, canon, God!!! canon's printers are not an easy game.

                          i am thinking about that Fiery System Software may is corrupt, but the fiery display lights looks ok. did u saw my attachments above? there are some pictures of the fiery.
                          i already replaced the Interface board from another iRC3220 machine just to try and right after change, the LCD got freezed, i also replace boot rom. no success.
                          i have to tell that in copy mode, i can make copies with no problem.

                            In order to clear your error code you kept turning your copier on and off many times, without doing the correct shutdown for your Fiery.
                            That scrambled the system software on your Fiery.
                            Reload your Fiery software.

                              this error code was created by removing 3220 Pcb's /

                              Fiery did function before this procedure>

                              00- means Fiery firmware is working/ i have worked on hundreds of C1/C2 Fiery's and have never see a firmware issue on them when 00 on a C2 or on a C1 when the four LED's are off-

                              make sure both service switches on Fiery are in down position
