ipf 9000 error 03130031-2618 issue

We have an ipf 9000 throwing the above error. We dont use the unit a lot, however, we do when we need prints wider than 44", so we dont stock a lot of parts for the machine.

The error points to a problem with either printhead, carriage relay board, head relay board or main pcb.

I did try a purge unit and head management sensor. I also re-seat the ribbon cables from the carriage unit to the main pcb - at both ends.

No luck.

Before i order parts...any thoughts??

I would go for:

1 head relay board

If not

2 carriage relay board

I am trying to sort the 2618 error on my iPF 6300 and have changed the PSU, the carriage PCB and the long cables with no result. This error is not what it seems to be.

Did you solve the problem in the end?
Was it the main controller PCB and did you repair it or scrap the printer?
