    IRC 3080i Premature drum wear.

Hi I have a IRC 3080i that is wearing the drums out prematurely, I loacted the fault to the coupling that is rotated when you turn the black handle, it has snapped causing a toner build up in the PCU then developer spill and drum wear.
My question is .... has anybody else had this issue?? if so what part number do you replace ?
I have the parts catalog already but it is bloody awfull and so hard to recognise what part is needed, has anybody had this issue.

    Thanks in advance

It is quite a common problem and the couplings can usually be re-attached in-situ. They clip into a gear in the Waste Toner 1 Feed Assembly, and usually become detached rather than break. The gear slips out of view and needs moving back into position before re-attaching. If the 2 plastic clips on the couplings are still intact, then re-attaching in-situ is your best option. Otherwise, you'll need to remove the Waste Toner 1 Feed Assembly, which isn't a great deal of fun. Part number for the assembly is FM2-5530-010 and the couplings are included with it. I don't think the couplings themselves have a separate part number.

The couplings are there, it just isn't very clear from your picture. If they were missing you'd see a gaping hole where the Drum Waste Ports are.
