    [Misc] staple cartridge stuck in canon S1 for ir3025

    Hi, Has anyone ever had a stapler catridge they could not remove, I have attempted to remove staples to reinsert, and found the staple cartridge is lodged in some how, original problem was not able to staple because copier was indicating something like needs staples as far I recall. Now I destroyed the stapler cartridge vessel (green tab,and spring came out) but the unit that the staples fit into wont budge. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank-You in advance.

    Verify that the staple unit isn't stuck in the downward position. You can turn a big black gear and cycle the stapler. You'll hear a click and then you should be able to pull it out. I'd replace that whole staple cartridge if I were you as it will come back soon enough.

      take northernlife's suggestion

      Finisher S1 / Q1 / Q3
      Correct procedure for replacing the Staples in the Staple Cartridge

      2) Pull up on the top of the Stapler Cartridge.

      3) Insert the new Staples into the back of the Staple Cartridge with the arrow pointing towards the front of the Staple Cartridge.

      4) Push down the top of the Staple Cartridge to close the Staple Cartridge.

        NOTE::Tip

        Stapler Cartridge Holder on a Finisher S1 will work on a Finisher T1

        even though they may look differently as shown below item number 4A3-1257-000 will work in the Finisher T1, Saddle Finisher T2.
        The original handle on the Finisher T1 is shorter, but the body is the same.

        Note: if you order the Stapler unit part number FM2-0665-000 you will get the Stapler with the cartridge as shown . This is the item number for the Finisher Q1/R1/T1 / Saddle Finisher Q2/R2/T2. Short handle.

        The Item number for the Stapler unit in the Finisher S1 is 4G3-0480-000. This has the longer handle as shown .

          Thank-you, Northernlife and Teckat for the pictures, The cartridge was wedged in some how, the one alignment screw was also the only screw that held the stapler in, I was thinking it was more difficult because it was my first time problem with the S1 on this series, Thanks Again for quick response.
