Hey Guys need your help I have a canon ir 6075 that starts leaving dark bands from lead to trail edge and is now leaving spots also. its starts off with a clean page after the 3 or 4 one is when the spots and bands start. I cleaned the drum and coronas with alcohol, cleaned cleaning unit and checked connections on developer. the bands are darker than the picture any ideas?dark spots and band.pdf

There was a Tech pub about a cleaning blade causing some issues. I think teckat could pull some info on it.

If the spots are coming from the primary corona. cleaning will not work.
the wires will cause dark bands also.

cleaning blade will cause dark bands and spots too.

only the 2 wires need to be replaced.
the spring is different, you have to snip it to make a loop, or use the old style spring, or use the pre strung wires (FL3-4558)

The primary is not causing that problem. You can try however. The cleaning blade was issued to most dealerships because they found that certain issues like this one was cause by the blade. What's the meter count on this device?

I had 3 calls on Tuesday--all solved with wires.
It is very difficult to tell if it is wires or blade, every time I swear it is the blade it turns out to be wires.
Some run for hundred of thousands no problem, others need wires before 100k.
The filter is usually full of fluff, and the housing smeared with dust.

Its a Process of elimination. Also cost effectiveness.
