If you unplug it from outlet then wait a while then restart, it boots again but doesn't complete it and back to blank display. I have checked and reseated the connectors, boot rom, memory. Also checked and reseated the connectors of the control panel. I am thinking of replacing the LCD. Do you have any suggestions of what to do? I really need it on this one. Thanks
If you need to replace the control panel these guys are GREAT!
I needed a board for my Canon IR 6000.
They shipped me a rebuilt one in two days!
It looked better than brand new from the factory and only cost me $250!
    I Highly reccomend them!

Not an LCD problem. Sounds like a possible hard drive issue even though it's not throwing the E602 code. It would be interesting to see if you can run the hard disk check(holding down the 1&9 keys while powering on machine) Remember--if you do this you must not interrupt the process until it completely finishes. Takes about 15 minutes to complete.

Probably a dumb question but have you adjusted the Display Brightness Control?

LCD is OK if you have progress bar and Canon logo. Can you get in download mode? Try to unplug the hard disc and turn on copier to see any difference.
