    Canon C3220

I have a machine that we picked up for service awhile back from a account that we sold kyoceras.I have attached some samples, the copies and prints are both wash out, i have replaced nothing on the machine
it has 37,000 color pages and 82,000 b/w pages on it.I have clean the transfer belt and transfer rollers,
i have check the service manual and cannot see any adjustment for drum and dv refresh or a color
calibration check. I have ran test prints in the service mode and all them are wash out to. I think i am going
to change the transfer belt and secondary transfer roller, but would like a opinion on this.attached is a b/w
copy , a color copy and the color test sheet i ran.

Yes I would agree looks like the drums have reached the endof their life, you can check this in service mode, COPIER>MISC & look at drum % over 200 most likely they will need replacing, especially the black as they leak badly.
However if the machine has been sitting unused for a while? Doa long run of say 50 double side on full colour using your test page or the like, you may find this will improve the quality.

Add functions > Adjustment/cleaning > auto gradation > full adjust is worth a shot to buy you some time.

Black drums don't leak as much on a C3220, not like the 4080 does. And black looks good on the examples.

Try to replace the color drums, they are gone.

replace ALL DRUMS at the same time

inspect image on ITB during lay-down & before external transfer roller( remove ITB middle right cover to view )
also check your external transfer roller
            Sec.Trans Ext_.JPG

while u'r at it check the fuser unit

Thanks guys the color drum units where the fix, but i have a problem with the transfer belt cleaning itself,
i have change the transfer belt cleaning assy and clean the transfer belt but i am still getting streaks in the middle of the pages. It was doing it before i change the drum units and is not as bad on black copies or single color copies. here are the before and after samples of the drum changes.

Also clean the metal plate on the bottom of the transference belt away. It will catch toner also.

                    POINT TO NOTE:

Make sure engagefor cleaning unit is functioning correctly

Cleaning blade: remains in contact with the ITB at all times, and used to scrape off toner from the ITB.

Scoop-up sheet: used to prevent fall of toner.

Waste toner feeds crew/ check operation
                    Waste Toner
The waste toner is scraped off by the cleaning blade, and is moved to the waste toner box by the waste toner feed screw

Make sure this LARGE plate is not bent Inward-
                    remove & clean underside

i usually throw Large plate away/ if u throw away/
u need to keep small plate attached & grounded
                    see this pic
