Limited function mode is broken down to several settings where you can disable the punch unit, trays A/B, perfect binder, and folder unit.
All these can now be done individually unlike the past where it was either on or off.

Under the limited functions tab now there are two pages for limited function. Be sure to check both pages=
It has been found that if you change service mode level 1 Copier>Option>Body TR-SP-C1, TR-SPC2, TR-SP-C3 and TR-SP-C4 and if the value is set to 2 on the paper source you are running, everything will be delivered to tray A. TR-SP-C1 is for the paper type. C1 is for the right paper deck, C2 is for the left paper deck, C3 is for drawer 3, C4 is for drawer 4, MF is for the bypass and DK is for the side paper deck.

This adjustment should stop Tray B from going UP and DOWN

      Adjusting the Sensor Intensity
0011-8877 Go through the following steps when installing
the finisher or replacing specific sensor:
      1) Turn on the finisher and the host machine in
      sequence.
      2) Open the front cover, and insert the door
switch actuator into the door switch [1].
      F-4-21
      3) Insert a screwdriver [2] through the hole [1] in
the bottom face of the tray; then, disengage the
tray in the direction of [A], and lower the tray
A/B in the direction of [B].
      F-4-22
Be sure to lower the tray A/B [2] until it does not
block the tray sensor (front/rear) [1].
      F-4-23
      4) Detach the inside cover (lower) and the switch
      cover [1].
      - 1 screw [2]

      5) Set the DIP switch SW382 [1] of the switch
PCB as shown (1: ON), and press the enter
button (SW385) [2] to start sensor intensity
      adjustment.
      F-4-25
      6) If the LED [1] indicates '0', the adjustment has
been successful. Press the enter button
(SW385) [2] to end the sensor intensity
      adjustment.
      F-4-26
      7) If any of the sensors is faulty (i.e., the LED
      flashes '0'), press the + (SW384) [1]/- (SW383)
[2] button to find out the code number indicated
by the LED [3], and replace the faulty sensor.

I am doing like this, but the problem is that Tray B moves all the time up and down and makes noise.

            ------------------------------------------------

when printing to TRAY A --where is tray B positioned ??

TEST= Additional Functions -> Common Settings -> Tray Designation un-select Tray A from all options> now select TRAY B for all operations> send prints & or copies to it > report back with results

when u power off & on printer , do trays search for HP ?

Check your paper surface sensor actuators

            NOISE/VIBRATION
check the torque limiter for tray B

dirty output tray sensors can cause the trays move up-dn, remove the very front panels of the finisher 2 ea. and clean the sensors on both ends ( sending and receiving) one acroos from each other, from each tray. good luck
