the number of trials allowed for using the Send function has reached the limit. To continue to use, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

You're using atrial Send license version. it comes with the machine and is given for 100 scans only. If interested, purchase a universal send kit-P1.

Rachid, in the past I've either only bought Canon machines with the full universal send or I've used the reseller to get a Universal send code but from what I heard from him, it actually is not that easy to get a Universal send code as an unauthorized dealer, so my question, as well as possibly the original poster too, where would an unauthorized guy get a code? In the past when I had called Canon they stonewalled the situation.

Our region (North Africa) depends on Canon Middle East which is in the UAE and all options for these models (and others) are not available any more. We have IR3025 machines for which we want to purchase print and universal send options but they're not available. we are using them as copiers only.

Sorry for kicking the same dead horse here but this is actually one of the top ten serious issues in our industry as I see it. Basically any image runner series copier that has the print capabilities (which is 95% of them) has the capabilities to universal send, well except that there is a 20 digit alphanumeric unlock code needed to unlock the darned thing. In the past I was able to pay $300 for a code and all that was required was that I give the re seller the serial number and model of the copier for which I needed this code. I assume that there is an algorithm that translates this information into the unlock code for these copiers. Has anybody spent any time thinking about this? Hacking it? I'm sure there is some serious money in it.

If I understand you correctly you are telling me that it's illegal in your country for one guy to sell another guy a string of numbers.
