Have a irc3080 where user cannot adjust light/darkness from screen ..everything else working fine ..any ideas??

Assuming the User knows where the Display adjust is on the Control Panel, I would say the Inverter is not working to light the LCD (pink & white wires on PCB inside Control Panel).

thx for reply,,,,i have swopped whole control assembly as user has many same machines on site...but no change any more thoughts??

sorry...not contrast of screen....the touch screen button to lighten /darken copys..

check under Additional Functions>
- under Adjustment/Cleaning>Exposure Recalibration>Light, Dark: 1 to 9 levels> make sure it is set at "5"


or could be a Main Controller issue

Is the problem from copying or printing or both?
Try an internal print, say FUNCTION > MISCP > USER PRINT - if the print is ok then copy the print, if the result is lighter then maybe the Optics need cleaning .

Try to reprogram screen in service mode. If no success replace the touch screen sheet. There is a Canon bulletin about this issue. Have changed quite a few on all Canon products. FK2-0426 is part number for 3080. Do the firmware first

it was main controller....!!!!!!
