    [Error Code] canon adv c5235

    hi can any one help pls i have a new c5235 brand new ran function install stir-4 all results come back ok status, took dev units out no toner in them x4 devs,error am getting e020-0490,any help pls.

      As it's a new machine contact Canon. We have had loads of these fail after stir and initialize.
      We have been advised to

      A : make sure its the latest firmware

      B : Not run initialize and stir as the machine does it automatically.

      C : Make sure the values of copier / adjust / dens / Cont-Y, Cont-M, Cont-C, Cont-K match the door values, they are sometimes a few digits out.

      Personally I don't think any will fail if you don't do the initialize or stir.

          The code refers to the Black unit spilling toner - could be the Drum isn't turning or maybe Drum Drive PCB faulty - but as skynet Posted, normally the MC will run itself up without a Toner Stir but as it is a new machine contact Canon for a DOA.

              Every time we have had a 020 xxxx on an installation of this 52 series it has been the developer.

              E020 0490 05 Title Error in Bk Developing Assembly
              Description Error in signal lower limit with ATR sampling detected value
              Remedy
              1. Check if the ATR Sensor Connector is disconnected.
              2. Check short-circuit of the ATR Sensor (TS8) Harness.
              3. Replace the Developing Assembly.

                  Thanks for all the reply I have been in touch with canon and will attend machine with canon tech specialist ,so will keep yous posted,thanks again
