    Canon IR 4570 running dirty

This machine is running very dirty. I have toner dust on the back side of machine. I have new drum (OEM) and run OEM toner. Been cleaning the hell out of it but it comes back two days later. Any help appreciated. Thanks,Kurt

    Hey Kurt

This has been quite a problem on this series. Canon JUST released a tech pub on it. They have provided a seal mod for the developer/hopper connection that has been leaking toner since the beginning of the release of the series.

If you can't find it let me know and I can hopefully copy and paste it to you

    Hope this helps

Order new seals: FC8-1089-000 and FC5-1253-000 or order new developer: FM2-0287-010. Also, for dirty 2 sided copies, pull out rear filter from right side door and blow all of that toner/dust out of the fan and paper path area. This is accomplished by spliting the right side door (like you were taking off door to replace P/U Assy. or Vertical Roller).
The glass maybe half full, but less is more...
Printer + Fax + Copier = Jack Of Many Trades,
        but Master Of None
Color Copier = Not A Color Printer
InkJet MFP = Not A Fax Machine
        B/W Copier = Not A Press
Finisher = Deal Closer (salesman, not accessory)
Copier Tech = Admin's Stress Ball (Scapegoat)

Be sure to remove the left end panels and the fax board if it has one. You're going to find a pile of toner around and maybe on top of the fax board. The seals will help, but in a pinch if you haven't got seals yet you can make your own out of the foam strip that gets added to the edge of the lower right vertical door. The toner can also blow out the back onto the overnight power supply and since toner conducts, damage it. We've seen a lot of these toner leakers. Good idea to check on each call.
