[Error Code] canon advance irc 2020 code e0025 popped up 2 times today.

Hi, I am working on a canon advance irc2020 that has 60,000 total copies and prints. A code of E0025 0000 05 0D . Something to do with the yellow toner supply. The code came up twice for this client in one day.I did not experience the code while I was there. Has anyone have this code? I did a p-print but not sure what looks abnormal.Yellow drum is at 96%. Thank-You in advance.

E025 0000 05 Title Toner Supply Motor (Y) lock detection
Detection The Rotation Sensor does not detect rotation although 5
sec has passed since the motor was turned ON


Remedy Possible cause: overload with the motor or motor failure


1. Check conduction with FU2 on the DC Controller PCB
(UN09)


2. Check the harness/connector between the DC Controller
PCB (UN09/ J23) and PS06.


3. Replace the DC Controller PCB (UN09)
Check the harness toward the sensor


4. Check the Hopper Unit (Y)


5. Replace the Hopper Unit (Y).

I had a similar problem but mine was black.
This machine leaks at the hoppers badly.
Remove the inner finisher if it has one remove the cover plate on top
This will give you a clear view of the hopper Moter assembly
If there isa lot of toner sensor is on the left side bottom of hopper, you will need to remove it.
more than likely the gear at the bottom that drives the sensor shaft is not attached
If you remove the y hopper assembly blow it off you may note the sensor arm drive gear has come loose as it is only held with a tiny prawl on the gear causing the shaft to wobble and not turn to actuate the sensors correctly. You may have to unscrew the bracket holding the motor in order to get at the gear but once you do and reseat this gear and shaft you should be good no need for new one.

P-PRINT won't give you the Error Code list - HIST will.
If you replace the Y Drum Unit now you may avoid having to replace the Toner Hopper Assy - crappy job in a machine that shouldn't have been invented hmmmm yeah just like the IRC3100s, 6800s, 5185s .

Thankyou all,Right jam/err history report,It was late for this old man last night,9pm. I have page 4-66 of parts replacement removing the hopper unit(CL). Just having a hard time distingusting between the nice color diagram being the first time in this area. Thanks for the replys.Anyone interested in selling this manual let me know.Thanks again.
