Hello,
First post. Got into some printing for my small business, mostly short run stuff. Long story short, sales guy exaggerated the thickness the printer could print. Although it doesn't jam at heavier stock, the tech/owner later informed me its not the jamming thats an issue but the quality. So he is quite unhappy with the sales guy. Right now we are trying to work with the situation so I've dropped paper thickness. I'm running 12 pt 279gsm, (spec is 253, sales guy said 300). Everything prints mostly ok. No jamming. I have changed color shift setting to 1 to reduce heavy 2 to 1/3 speed to improve registration. However, my only issue now is this horizontal streak that runs along the trailing edge of the page. This is on 12x18 full bleed 11x17 through the bypass. "Out of spec" is not the answer I am looking for. We resolved a few other issues that could have been attributed to "out of spec" so I'm hoping to resolve this one to.
Let me know if you have any suggestions!
