Yes it is an error code on the 3100's. How old's your manual?

E006 Connection error of the fixing unit
0000 The hardware detects non-attachment of
the fixing unit for 400msec
continuously.
A break in the fixing unit presence/
absence signal (FUSER_CNCTX_N) /
Disconnection of the connector (The
connectors are placed as shown below)
DC controller PCB : J316
Fixing unit : J2007, J2008
Relay connector (between DC
controller and fixing unit) : J2006 (7
pins)
Check on connection of the fixing unit cable,
Replace the relay cable, Replace the fixing unit,
Replace the DC controller PCB

Hahaha the biggest piece of shit colour that canon ever released. So bad we had to pull one of the machines and replace it with a 3380 because it was chewing that much parts, and the unit was 4 months old.

Personally I think the 6800 is shittier that the 3100...heat adding/removing roller....good for making square fuser rolls,ASI drum for color(horrible for color). The Edsel of Canon color
