AutoCad software & Canon ir3320 problem help!

Hello everyone, I have a problem with print out from AutoCad software to Canon ir3320. If anyone can help me to solve this problem.

In the AutoCad software they created a blue print and they use many different color to separate the details. All dard color is fine. But the yellow color is come out light grey, it's very hard to read.
I try to use PS, PCL5 driver but the print out is still the same. I told them to change all yellow color to darker color and they said is to much to do that now. because they have so many files change.

So, is there a way to print out all black color? But I think this is a B/W Copier its support to convert all color to black color. Is that right? Thanks

Hi Xcopytech, I did try that options Button (lower left corner of PS driver). But there is no "print color as black" in there? Is there another options setting?

what about adjusting image density? -or adjusting printer driving settings?

or selling them a colour machine?

Check Autocad for patches.
If a Windows test page prints fine it is not the printer.

From the guys next door. There are settings in auto-cad itself under pen assignments that control what colors are printed in black.

@ alex, adjusting image density its won't help much. And they don't need color copier.

Try using the Postscript(PS) driver and/or the UFRII drivers.
They work best with a Rip.
Have you updated the fiery software and/or loaded the incremental patches?
Do you know how to use Command Workstation?
Have you calibrated the rip?
Lots of questions but you HAVE to do all this when you install a fiery.
iRC3200 is classed as a B/W copier that will do color in moderation...NOT 100% color but it's sold as a color copier so that's how you have to approach it.

Hi Oze, Thanks for your time. But, I guess you over look on the model in my question.

The copier is B/W ir3320 (no rip). The copier is working fine. The only problem is when they print out from Auto Cad software, you know they use this software to draw almost anything. And any thing with yellow color is will come out "light grey" on the paper. Any dark color like Blue, Green, Red.....come out solid black. I did try all 3 drivers for this copier and the result the same.

So, the problem is Auto Cad software. There's must be a setting some where that print out as B/W. Actually, this is none of my bussiness. Because, my job is only mainternance the copier, not the software. I just want to make my client happy and also I really want to findout how to solve this problem, and maybe I'm run in to this problem again later. Thanks

Yep...epic fail on my part...totally misread.
What operating system are they using?
Maybe check the greyscale settings under the driver properties.
I have fixed a few similar issues with the way the Vista drivers handle greyscale...sounds very similar.

light grey printing for light colours

u need to use pen assignments wisely in autocad to control colour & thickness as well.
Use MONOCHROME.CTB pen assignment & print, it will not come grey but only in black colour.
Use acad.ctb for correct greyscale. Y will always come light in this mode.
Pen thickness is also imp & needs to be used wisely.
