    [Jamming] C5030 Finisher removal

I have a c5030 that has something causing jams in the built-in finisher. It appears that there is a broken piece at the finisher exit; I think it's part of the offset mechanism. It was probably broken by a user since the machine only has about 120K pages printed. I looked thru the service manual but I can't find information on removing the finisher, other than how to remove the ADF and reader. If anyone has instructions installing/removing this finisher it would be greatly appreciated. The customer doesn't need the offset function so disabling or removing it would be okay as well.
