Happy FRIDAY! And Hello all,

I have a finicky C5240 that has been throwing E075-0103 /0006 codes. I have performed the ITB motor Support plate adjustment to try to compensate too the error and it seems to have helped a bit but the error keep coming back. Initially the values of ITB-POS and ITB-POS 2 were below the - 350 values posted in the adjustment guide and therefore the guide indicates that the plate should be adjusted in the downward position. I have done this, a little at a time and now it is maxed out at the lowest possible adjustment. Machine will work for a while, then code out again. When it comes out, it usually goes into 0103 sub code but interesting enough, email of the ITB assy show the belt to be perfectly centred???

Any ideas on this one? Has anyone else been having these issues? Not really wanting to order an entire ITB assy just yet t try to solve the issue.

Any thoughts?

E075 - 0006
The belt kept tracking off to one side causing the error.
The spring loaded silver tension roller on the left side of the ITB assembly should move freely in and out with the tension of the spring. The roller is shown below in the photo. In this case, the rear side of tension roller was stuck causing the belt to track off to one side resulting in the E075.

Loosen the silver screw circled in the picture below to allow the silver tension to move back to the proper position and tighten the screw.

E075 error code on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5051 Series

The E075 error code refers to the ITB belt shifting front to rear of the machine and can not compensate. There are two causes that will make this happen.
a) The machine that is not level
b) Uneven thickness of the ITB belt from front to rear.

To resolve this issue, first observe the ITB Position value of displacement in service mode under Copier > Display > Misc > ITB-POS. The range is between -300 to +450. If the value is very close to the high end or low end, perform the following:

a) Check to make sure that the machine is level.
b) After leveling the machine, run Copier > Function > MISC-P > ITB-INT in service mode
c) Check Copier > Display > MISC > ITB-POS again to make sure the value is approximately within the mid range
d) If the value in step c is not within mid range, remove the ITB belt and reverse it from front to rear and repeat the prior steps again.

Thanks techcat. Silver Roller moves freely on both ends. Can you confirm for me 3 rigid mylars on ITB assembly frame... does the ITB belt ride over top of the mylars or underneath the mylars?

Is the machine level left to right and front to rear? Put a 6 inch level on the glass and check it out. If not, level it, center the belt, initialize it to read edge profile and let it run. This is one of the 3 footed creatures as opposed to the 4 footed 5030 series.

There is a MOD for the ITB assy, comes with different springs, washers etc, i had it on a machine, checked the machine to see if it was level, spirit level and it was, kept coming in every couple of days for the belt moving off. Ordered the new kit for the ITB and not seen it since, dont have the Part number to hand but its on a post on here somewhere.

check the rear transfer arm for cracks on the ITB assembly and replace if necessary.
The part number for the NEW Rear Transfer Arm is FC0-5024-010.

If this symptom should occur, follow the procedure below:
1) Go to Service mode > COPIER > Function > MISC-P > ITB-INIT and press "OK" to perform searching ITB equilibrium position.
2) Go to Service mode > COPIER > DISPLAY > MISC > ITB-POS/ITB-POS2 and check if the value is within the tolerance that is between "+350" and "-350" (the center point of the value is "0"). If the value
is within the tolerance, the work is completed.
3) If the value is out of tolerance after step 2), then execute the "ITB equilibrium position adjustment procedure" attached below.

Being different from imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 series, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5200 series is not subject to a sloping floor.
Therefore the adjustment of the ITB-POS value may not be adequate even after adjusting the height of the caster.
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5200 series possesses a mechanism to adjust the equilibrium position inside the ITB unit.
4) If the value remains out of tolerance even after performing step 3), then check if the transfer rear arm of the ITB is damaged.
5) If the transfer rear arm has damage to it, then prepare a new type transfer rear arm (FC0-5024-010) and replace it.
6) Perform steps 1) to 3) again and adjust the equilibrium position

E075-0103 Error Code. Error in full displacement of ITB (front)

Error : E075-0103 error code. Replaced the ITB belt, bushings, cleaning assembly and checked for a broken Transfer Rear Arm . Checked the ITB-POS/POS2 values and followed the adjustment in the Service Manual on page 5-6. Replacing the Drum Driver PCB and performing an ITB-INIT resolved the E075-0103 error code. The part number for UN4 Drum Driver PCB is FM3-7934-000. The Drum Driver PCB controls the ITB Displacement motor & ITB motor.

Hi All,

I do realize that the machine in question is an IRAC52XX, but i had this issue a lot with the IRAC50XX and the only fix that would solve the issue was the ITB IMPROVEMENT KIT (FM4-8409)

(Teckat's post regarding this issue is the latest info from canon regarding the E-075 on the IRAC52XX, try that first, and if that doesn't work maybe the improvement kit, is something to try).


I assume that the IRAC52XX should have all the upgraded parts installed in the ITB, aswell as the rest of the machine, but here is the info i used anyway...

Just to follow up with everyone..... Sorry for the late reply.

I ended up changing the ITB belt on this device and the problem was resolved.

Important note: The mylars on the assy go UNDERNEATH the belt. Not over top of the belt. This was confirmed with the belt installation instructions.

Prior to changing the belt, I found the mylars over top of the ITB and they must have been hampering the movement of the belt when the steering roller tried to adjust he belt position.

With the belts installed correctly, itb-init worked properly and no problems since.

Depends on which way you have the assembly

I usually just take them off and re-stick them after replacing a belt.
