    CANON IMAGECLASS MF-6540

Hi I have a 6540 that is jamming about 2 inches out of the fuser. Same spot every time, I noticed that the pages were also blank. I thought that I had read some time ago about a problem with the transfer corona, does anyone remember that problem? If so could you refresh my memory. I am a sharp copier tech most of the time.

    Thanks in advance!

Up date it was laser shutter that I was thinking about. I blocked open laser and it is printing but still jamming.

    Thanks again

Just like any other LaserJet printers or similar devices, the problem could be with the fixing unit, generally speaking. Check paper exit sensor for 'free play',you could also try to relub the fuser unit for smooth rotation of fuser film. Paper sizes settings incorrectly set is also known to cause this trouble.
