Canon IR3530 mfp conversion

Customers Canon ir3530 has no hard drive, and I install a fax board in it but does not work, printer, scanner not available either. I think it's a
copier model only, or the hard drive was taken out. What do I need to install the printer, scanner option. Do I need firmware and hard drive, different controller board? Any help would be appreciated.

You need to install a hard drive then load the system software. If this is a Canon ir3530, it will not work without a hard drive, it is like a computer, that is where the operating system is (firmware).
