[Misc] How to get a different font on a iR Advanced C5230?

Customer wants to print a signature on his letters by using a special font that has to be stored on the printer.
Anyone any idea on how to get this font uploaded on the Canon printer so it shows up in the printer's fontlist?
The former iR type of printers used Netspot Resource Downloader for this type of work, but that does not seem to work with the advanced models :-(

hi

you have two ways to install this font:

1. Netspot Resource Downloader --> but you must Change this Settings --> SNMP from read to read/write

2. To complicate: IWMC with this plug in --> iWMC Resource Management

but before you try this, try to print the document with this Settings into the Driver --> true type as Bitmap

Thanks for reply. Tried this today with Netspot Resource Downloader. Unfortunately SNMP changes on machine and in Netspot did not give the desired result. I can specify the IP address of the printer and then the printer shows up with the right type description in Netspot. However, all buttons are greyed out after the discovery, so I cannot add the printer to the desired list. This does work well however with an IRC3080 machine... Any further ideas?

tested yesterday with our irADV C5235, no Problem, run Netspot as admin, the we are able to ad this device. after you changed the snmp Setting, it is importand to reboot the device.

Thanks again for the update. Rebooting the machine did the trick, it worked!
I was able to upload a font and saw it back in the PCL fontlist :-)
