    IP Adress changing automatically

When setting the IP Address of the Canon Image Runner 4080, after power off/on it reverts back to a different unreachable address????

If I remember correctly, there is a battery on the controller that maintains IP settings.

Since this machine is sooooo old, I would think there's a good chance that's it.

i don't have access to Canon manuals any more (my company is no longer a dealer) so I can't provide you with more than that.

Please note that I'm drawing on some very old memories, and may be wrong, but this does seem to ring a bell.

Are you working with a Fiery H1 controller? Are you setting the wrong one? Setting a Fiery controller is a number of steps through a menu system.

Ive had battery issues as well, but that in my case led to the ip adress being flushed to zeros, however that was sometime ago.
