Canon Imagepress C1 Visual Shading Correction

    Helo,

I am using a Canon C1 with ceramic toner.

I did made the Shading correction printing and measuring tests with the Xrite Eye one.

Because when I tried to measure the magenta , red strip with ceramic toner I got error , I did measure the magenta Strip printed before with normal Toner.
So I measured the Cyan, Yellow , Black Strips from the Ceramic toner Shading print and the Magenta Strip from the normal toner Strip.

I tried to measure the Magenta Ceramic toner patch densities in order to input some Visual correction to be as close possible.
I tought that measuring the densities of the ceramic C Y K , and checking the automatic correction values , I can find out what correction to input for the Magenta .

The user manual information regarding the Visual Correction are not exhaustive.

Do anyone , have more information regarding the visual Shading correction ?

    Thank you

Print out one tile with densitometer patches and perform calibration.

on the imagePRESS series the proper sequence is:

    1. Shading Correction. (Visual adjustment or using an I-One calibrator).
    2. Auto Gradation (internally or externally).
3 ColorPASS calibration. (Using an I-0ne calibrator or equivalent).

      From the Maintenance manual :

This mode enables you to correct the slight density unevenness that occurs in the halftone densityarea of the printed image. This mode corrects the uneven densities in the direction that isperpendicular to the feeding direction.

      ■ Visual CorrectionThis mode enables you perform density adjustment by viewing the result of the test print and correctdensity unevenness manually. Select this mode to correct the density if the correction made by using adensitometer is unsatisfactory. Note that sufficient experience is required to manually adjust the density.

The goal is to get a even density color for each strip ,CMYK ?

How to decide the correction to be input ?
By trial and error correction or also by arithmetic calculation ?
How much represent 1 unit of density correction ?

There are 11 patches for each strip of color.
How to decide the reference density , or maybe only the uniformity matters.

Point number 6 of the visual shading correction is not very clear to me.
I attached the print screen of the maintenance manual.
