Canon iR Adv 4035 error E602-4000

I have a Canon iR Adv 4035 with an error E602-4000. I have replaced the Hard Drive. I am assuming, even though the Hard Drive is Canon Specific,
it needs to be formatted and System Software installed. Can I do this with a Flash drive ?, also which version SST should I download

use the latest SST ver 4.75. load firmware onto usb drive. plug usb drive into machine. boot machine into safe mode, wait for the menu. format hard drive first. then load firmware.

Downloaded the SST files onto USB drive & all I get is remove USB device & shutdown.

Copier has not detected valid firmware for that machine.

Canon in some countries provides files for directly copying to usb drives to load the firmware.

In England we dont have that luxury, we have to download the firmware, register the firmware in service support tool and then load the registered firmware to usb drive.

You are correct. I needed to download it first then transfer it to the usb through SST

Thanks for your help ! Its now up and running

            Hello!

            i have the same problem.

is it works after HD replacement?

On my iR4025, the error code persists after HD, DC Controller 1 & 2 and SATA cable change...

            Thanks!

(PS: sorry for my english )

Re: Canon iR Adv 4035 error E602-4000

I'm having a problem with a Canon iR Advance 4035i unit at one of our customers. The HD failed so I replaced it but I can't get the machine to initialize/format the drive. I used SST v4.81Er with a v30.01 firmware and v6.16 HDformat file (because of the drive I received). The format fails on the unit after few seconds ("Formatting HDD(ALL) ...Error"). When I try to use the SST to do it I get the same error on the unit and the following error on the PC:

              E240
Error response:Process has ended in error.

              <<< FileName >>>
              HDDFormatALL:C:\ServTool\iA4045\HDFormat\XXxxv0616 \iA4045-XXxx0616-HDFormat.ift

              Module : SendFile() - 5
The drive I received is: Toshiba MQ01ABF032 and the old one is Seagate ST160LT003

Any ideas how I can get the machine running again?

My problem is solved. I received a wrong drive from Canon. The right drive is FK4-1729-000, thanks to teckat for help!
