Is the drum scored in the right side where the white trans roller finger contacts it? Are there upgraded dv collars on mag roller? Is the mylar torn at end of mag roller? How old is trans roller? You can take some, not all shims out of trans roller to prevent scoring, especially on rear side. New dv unit is about $100 + dv. Drum r/b kit & new t. roller & done for under $200.

Drum arcing to: a) grid, or b) developing roller. =^..^=

My guess is replace the developing unit, along with the developer.

I have seen this several times before, and I believe that your charge corona is arcing to the drum surface.

This could be caused by several things:
-broken CC assy (grid is loose)
    -worn drum shaft (s)
-bad DS rollers in the DV unit. <-Most likely

There is a mod available for the DV kit which replaces the all plastic DS rollers with a bearing roller.
    Part #A1UDR90100
The kit includes 2 new DS Rollers as well as some new style spacers and end bushing for the mag roller

    Hope this helps

    Trevor
