Re: KM Bizhub 283 code3423 ??
That's why I cover them with Teflon tape since the Di-351 days, all of them. Reduces the scratching of the UFR greatly. Never ever changed a thermistor on the Di-351, Di-350, (Di-3510), BH-350, 363, 423 series.
Teflon is much better than Thermistor Tape. The latter still cannot avoid the typical scratch and also causes weird noises when using after market toner. The Teflon tape is a little thicker and of course very smooth. Had no problems with bad fusing nor service codes. Before applying the Teflon tape I push the thermistor "pill" back into the cushion carefully with a toothpick and then clean them first with acetone or similar. See pictures.

Re: KM Bizhub 283 code3423 ??
the thermistors on the B223 range scratches the roller quickly. The 3de party ones let it live a lot longer.Leave a comment:

Re: KM Bizhub 283 code3423 ??
If it was working before you replaced roller then I would go back over your work and see if something isn't right. Then test lamp & thermistor when you have it apart. My guess would be thermistor not contacting new roller all the way or it is bad. I don't think I have ever had to replace a thermistor in those B&W machines going all the way back to the Di-251.Leave a comment:

Re: KM Bizhub 283 code3423 ??
Heater lamp comes on, is there another way to reset fuser codes on this model, it seems unusual that replacing with an OEM hot roller would generate this code. Not trained on this model, is there anything else that could be the cause of a c3423?Leave a comment:

The connector is not the same as the B250. You can find a 3de party part.
Does the lamp test ok?Leave a comment:

Re: KM Bizhub 283 code3423 ??
We used to experience something like this on the middle speed Ricohs. The newer machines had thinner heat rollers but were essentially the same size OD, and some of us tried to interchange the rollers. The thinner roller worked fine on the older machines. They heated up faster than expected. Now the thicker rollers would not work on the newer machines. They heated up slower than expected. Slow enough to get fuser codes.
Does this sound a little like what you are experiencing? =^..^=Leave a comment:

Re: KM Bizhub 283 code3423 ??
i believe the same thermistors on a bizhub 250 would also work on a bizhub 223,283,363,423. part # 4040090101Leave a comment:

KM Bizhub 283 code3423 ??
I replace a hot roller on a Bizhub 283, when I installed fuser into machine it attempted warm-up then code 3423 came up. I turned off sw2 held utility button until trouble reset came up on screen, I pushed trouble reset ok came up, I then turned off sw2 then on and code came back. Perhaps the thermistor assembly needs replacement however I can not find a part#. Any advice would be appreciated. Also attempted to go into diagnostics but the password 00000000 would not work, help.Tags: None
