i have minolta di520 machine which shows add toner message.the toner bottle is half .
.i put the toner in tank by hand but it still shows add toner message.

Make sure the back cover is on properly. There is a sensor in the bottom left corner that needs to be covered. If it isn't covered the only symptom seems to be a false message saying to add toner.Comment

yes the message i fake .the problem is with the ram on the upper righ of machine with cell.when i change it the problem was fixed.Comment

just for another possible future solution, i remember in the toner hopper there is an arm (for toner level detection) with a magnet on it. the magnet used to get developer on it and weigh it down so it always looked for more toner.
although this instance may have been solved electronically, its another simple thing to check before replacing parts.We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
