BizHub 222: printing (won't print to PC)

1 of our accounts acquired a BizHub 222 from another 1 of their locations.

Pretty sure they were trying to print on a network with Windows 7 x 64 bit.

We entered an IP address and were able to ping it but never could print to it.

Ricoh has a thing they call the Web Image Monitor were you put the IP address in a web browser. We tried that and nothing
came up. There was a Universal Print driver we tried to use.

Is it possible the firmware needs to be udated? Or it doesn't have drivers that will work.

    thanks.

As a test, try connecting a laptop with a USB cable and see if the unit will print at all. If it does, it's most likely network related....if not, it's the machine.

...at least that's where I'D start.... YMMV

reset the network to auto and let it pick up everything. make sure authentication is not on. use the pcl driver. universal sucks. also try a crossover and a laptop. usb printing is different. if network port is bad usb will still work. you may need to update firmware for browser problem. what os are you using. also use chrome.

if you can print a configuration page the controller is working (usually)
        does it?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
        The medication helps though...
