    Fiery on 1070

    I took delivery on a 1070 press.

Im having a challenge with the fiery and getting it on line with the Work Station. I have updated all the settings in admin , nic to be in range for my network. Nothing,

    1) Can I use the older work stations or do I need the current version. I have Version 5 I believe running a c6500

    2) I dont need a Fiery Controller for what I do. Can I go usb direct? and if so is there any setting needed to adjusted for this.

I have a tech coming but he is a few days out. 4 Hours on this and I would like to run the thing until a tech can get here.

    Re: Fiery on 1070

I see a couple of machines regularly that put up a real fight every time the machine must be shut down. My suggestion is to shut down the MFP completely. Power down the Fiery. Wait a few minutes, Power up the Fiery (wait until you see the (00) display). Power up the MFP completely (Ready). Click the Connect button on the Fiery Workstation. It usually connects within 3 minutes (if it's going to). =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
