On machines with high scan volume and very large packets, it's common for CCD failures and intermittent codes C9401, across multiple machine series'.Leave a comment:

Good morning.
We had a similar problem on a c652. In the morning the "first hour" failed, the rest of the day it worked fine.
If it was turned off at night the next morning it would happen again
We solved it by changing the ccd unit

if it clears up just replace ccd. have had many do this. keep it simple. it cant be mirrors so dont piss with themLeave a comment:

ok so likely ccd related then or mirrors could be slightly out of place.
you could reseat all the cables, ribbons on both ends but dont touch red screws.
just for giggles, run background data reset and stabilize, then stabilize in gradations and perform all the adjustments (3 each) and see if the result changes.
that test wont require a screwdriverLeave a comment:

Hi everyone
A client of mine reports that in the morning the first scans come out with green lines then after about 10 scan works the problem disappears.
I thought of a CCD problem or of a connection cable do you have other possible solutions?
