Hello,
We've installed the Universal Printer Driver 3.9.525.0 (PostScript) on a Windows Server 2022 for a C4051i. The drivers are shared using Windows Group Policy.
This setup worked flawlessly for three months until it suddenly stopped working. Either Windows displayed a "print failed" error, or the printer itself showed a print error.
Suspecting the PostScript driver as the culprit, I installed the UPD V4 driver version 2.4.0.1 (PCL6) and deployed it to client computers using the "gpupdate /force" command.
This fixed the issue temporarily, but it stopped working again after just one day. Subsequent attempts with different drivers only resolved the issue for a few hours at most.
Previously, they had a TOSHIBA 400AC, and the drivers worked flawlessly for multiple years until the switch to the Konica Minolta C4051i. Therefore, I still suspect the driver as the root cause or the machine.
The C4051i has the newest firmware installed.
The IP is static.
What could cause the issue?
Many thanks in advance.
