Konica Minolta C4070 W/SD513 - J-7571

Hi Guys,

got a C4070 (pretty much brand new with only 4500 meter count) with constant 7571 jams when printing booklets on an SD513, the job is an A3 booklet x14 pages on 120gsm, we have cleaned out PS72 and checked the path of the machine but is constantly having the jam code,

not fully clued up on these machine so any help would be appreciated! we have checked the service error history and did have C1625 error code relating to the SD unit

Does it jam the same with plain paper of the same size?

First check make sure paper matches in tray what it thinks it is (letter vs A4), or it will catch the slitters in the SD-513. Usually that a J code - but also i would test PS72 in I/O mode.
Also test the M1 motor in I/O -- you can try to do a half fold of a single sheet, see if that jams. helps to pull covers and watch it run from the front side.

Purpose

When outputting paper larger than A4 size, corner folding occurs at the leading edge at machine rear side or J-7571 occurs.

*J-7571: Within a specified period of time after the horizontal conveyance sensor/1 (PS72) becomes active, it does not become inactive.

Information

CAUSE: The Cover Sheet /Rear (p/n A65U299400) attached to the SD-513 entrance guide plate/1Assy (p/n A65UR71100) is damaged.



SOLUTION: Replace the Cover Sheet /Rear (p/n A65U299400).
