TLDR: Device randomly changes Paper Catalog adjustments to -001, sheets don't fuse or transfer properly.
We now have a few devices where the Paper Catalog Expert Adj settings are all changing to -001 (and some to -max extremes), for no apparent reason.
If I check the 'preloaded' Catalog entries, they ALL have these incorrect settings, but even creating new profiles ends up in the machine (seemingly randomly) changing the settings again. This results in poor transfer, poor fusing, and a lot of messy powdered toner to clear out the transport path!!
(
Each device has a Fiery IC-419 print controller, with a number of different versions to choose from, so I can't tie it to one particular version of Fiery SysSW.... they all do it!
We've also tried a few different versions of KM Machine FW.
I'm told this may be a UK-wide issue, but I haven't found any trace of this anywhere else yet!?!?
Wondering if anyone has had this encounter and if they'd been able to find a workaround? Doesn't matter what we do, even deleting all Paper Catalog from the device AND Command Workstation, and starting afresh seems to end up the same.
I've raised it with KM and with Fiery, but things are taking a while to proceed.
Any takers??
