Hello,

One C35 has image problem, printed document is OK, copy on original glass platen is OK, copy on ADF full black copy.
I found the scanner lamp doesn't light up during feeding process through ADF, nothing malfunction code displayed.

Any suggestion about this case?

wasnt the c35 that was famous for breaking the rear right adf hinge so it sits crooked on the platen changing the scanner angle?

Two hinges are good condition, just lamp would light off when scanner shifted to ADF glass.

isnt there a magnet on the lid for a reed switch under scanner cover?
forgive me if i missed it, have you tried initializing the machine? (save all backup data though)

I opened ADF and watching scanner movement, it would shift left and right 3-4 times for calibrating.
It only light off on left position, take a copy on platen the lamp illuminate at complete scanning.
When ADF scanning without lighting, full black copy is produced without any trouble code such as C9401.

heres a stupid thought, did anyone engage the scanner lock while the scanner was free? maybe it cant move ALL the way over into home position?
just a thought.
