Re: Bizhub c3350i not fusing
I think this is a very good idea and is more or less what we are doing. We buy from a wholesaler used machines with very little on the clock as a donor for several parts and saving loads of money by doing this.

Re: Bizhub c3350i not fusing
Not sure where you are located, but a fuser for the C3350i direct from KM in the US runs $315. Even that seems like highway robbery to me, but it is certainly better than the $500 you were looking at.Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub c3350i not fusing
well, you win Tech of the year award for that one! I didn’t even think about that. I really appreciate the tip.!
If you can buy direct from Konica or a Konica master distributor like ACM, You could just purchase a C3300i printer for around $500 to $575 brand new and you will have a fuser, itb unit, tray 1 feed unit and more for the same price you said you are paying for a fuser. Toners and image units are different though.Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub c3350i not fusing
Must be the fuser is bad. Put it on thick paper and works perfect. Tried even raising temp and slowing speed in service mode and made no difference. Only putting it on thick paper made it work 😩Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub c3350i not fusing
Anyone have a source for these fusers other than $500?? Crazy expensive for such a small unit
ill take a good used one even as this is a low volume areaLeave a comment:

Re: Bizhub c3350i not fusing
It is common problem on i series, fixed it by replaced fusing unit only.
I collected some defective units and tested components inside, it may cause of fuser belt material.Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub c3350i not fusing
Fuser units are absolutely crap on these models. Had numerous ones fail after little use. Seems like the fuser oil in the sleeve dries out and over time seizes up. Tried dismantling it to see if I could clean and add oil but with no success. Also found when this happens it destroys the drive gear.
Had so much negative feedback from customers about these machines.

Re: Bizhub c3350i not fusing
Anyone have experience with these little c3350i series? We have one with only 17k on it and the fusing is randomly not working correctly. We can wipe off the toner from the page and see offset. I have changed fusing temp and fusing speed, no change. Turned off SMART FUSING and still same. No error and fuser looks new still.
Any thoughts?
K
Raising a temperature will help for a few days but the problem will return with time.
I had this problem on c3350i with KM alternative K toner (there were no OEM toner available at that time), but after replacing a new fuser, problem was solved.Leave a comment:

Any visible damage to the fuser? Is the image worst on one or the other side in the cross feed direction?Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub c3350i not fusing
yeah no errors. I think middle temp is 141c
You say fuser does it randomly, does it happen when coming out of sleep mode? Finding out when it happens may be the clue.
If fuser temp would drop to where you can smear off the toner or repeat image you think it would throw a fuser low temp code.
Highly unlikely the fuser would be bad on a newer model with 17K. But fuser being defective is another story and nothing would surprise me with Kon/Min going backwards last few years, i.e. (Sub-Par new models. Toner, machine & parts shortage)! The shortage stuff is getting better but the new machines are still questionable.Leave a comment:
