Re: konica minolta bizhub 658e doc feeder woes
seems like quite the process to fix this feeder.. I had an issue with one a couple years back bought a new feeder f rom km so dang expensive
I see that welding the tab back might be the only fix.. lots of dissasembly to be involved unfortunately I will check into it.. thank you

Re: konica minolta bizhub 658e doc feeder woes
now i understand, drill the frame and use a rivit but dont snap it off flush, cut it to size.
or dremmel/drill a hole and thread it and use threaded rod to size.
in similar circumstances ive used JB weld and a custom made pin or shaft..Leave a comment:

Re: konica minolta bizhub 658e doc feeder woes
I am h oping that someone else has ran into this. the doc feeder is so intermittently feeding that is sucks. I tried lowering the silver pin on the doc feeder left rear side as looking at it with the left cover open and it works for a while.. then the pin was loose and almost broke off yesterday.. I had no option but to replace feeder now its fine.. its a pin that is either pressed or welded. anyone run into this? or do I need to strip it down and weld the pin back on?
certainly seems like a week spot on the feeder to me. as it is non operational with the pin gone.. the one to the right has a screw that can be taken out and replaced of course.. any thought?
thanks brent
Probably too late now that the pin is already broken loose, but I had success by wrapping some tape around the pin to give it a slightly larger diameter.
In the future I will probably just add a bit of heat shrink tubing to it.
You may need to tig weld, or braze the pin back in place to overcome the riveted pin breaking loose. Another option would be to remove the pin completely and mount it in a drill press and drill and tap a hole in the center of the pin. Then use a screw and wide washer to mount it back in position.Leave a comment:
