    Bizhub c450i Freezes after coming out of sleep mode

    Hi guys any help appreciated on my Bizhub c450i it freezes when coming out of sleep mode and wont boot
    Any help or ideas would be helpful

      There have been a few bugs with the i series.

      Updating the firmware would be a good start.

          the lazy fix would be to disable sleep mode and rely purely on lower power mode instead

              We have two lease return refurbs C250i, C360i that locked up in shop after latest FW was installed. One is unbootable in any way. One locks up after short use. Suspect storage boards. Could use some help/advice on obtaining them.

              There's a bulletin about locking up at 25%. Check the DC power supply voltages. Diff. DCPS boards, different pin #'s for low speed vs high. Same diagnosis from KMBS. We checked our voltages & that is not our issue.
              My C360i locks up at about 50% progress. My C250i shortly after ready. I can go to service mode but locks up very soon. Can't get through a format in service mode or the storage app. C-D010 results.
              Local KMBS friend says they are avoiding the Q6??? latest FW for this issue, using previous FW until they get more feedback from the mother ship.
              Recommends also not doing any heavy trauma memory-write maneuvers like FW updates or all data clear until more info available.

                  konica sleep mode is as trustworthy as a fox in a henhouse.
                  disable it and set low power to the max but never sleep.
                  never sleep.
                  its bizhub Kryptonite.
                  We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
                  The medication helps though...

                      Storage board is the culprit. You can run the diagnostic tool and it will say board is read only. In that case all you can do is back up everything and replace storage board

                          Hey Wox - Are you thinking storage board on my two units as well? (Pls see my previous comments, & Thanks) Also, any guess if the latest FW is causing it, or just the heavy flashing/rewrite activity pushing it over the cliff?

                              Regarding Q6, my last call to tech support they told me they are recommending rolling all i-series back off Q6.

                                  There is P8 version here from some time available although I was also advised against Q6 we have a few machines running on it without major issues till now.

                                      Same experience here.

                                      G00-Q6 from April 2023 was removed from One-Stop and we are advised to downgrade to G00-P8 from March 2023... that's the newest base we have available to us here in the states.

                                      I am still seeing new machines leaving the warehouse with Q6 loaded and just last week I installed a C450i with G00-Q8 which I had never seen before.
