    Are you a LT/LD or A3/A4 user?

Will it always default to letter size when copying from the glass? If yes then there must be some settings in Admin menu which may be for example here and set to current not factory default.
    • [Utility]
      • [User Settings]
        • [Copier Settings]
          • [Default Copy Settings]

Weird thing is you reset machine to factory but how, via system 1 initialize all or...?

Another thought is to compare software switches with tool or by eye with another C250i machine to see if some odd undocumented switch is set wrongly from factory or whatever.

is the paper type set to auto/plain?
are the other trays not set to plain?
is the letter tray set as the default or auto while in copy mode?

Odd paper size detection issue with C250i

    First post!

    Howdy,

It's the weirdest thing. The unit can easily detect any size of paper in the ADF when using scan or fax mode, but when in copy mode, it defaults to letter size.

I updated the firmware. I cleaned every sensor. I even reset the machine to factory defaults and the issue is still there. Does ANYONE have any ideas? LOL
