Konica C3850FS - Pages Printing Lighter, then Blank

Hello,

Wondering if anyone can help with this issue:

Konica C3850FS

Users were complaining that it is printing blank pages, so I had them turn the machine off until I could take a look. After getting there and testing, pages were printing just fine.. 2 weeks go by and the users don't report anything, but then a few days ago they reported it's been occurring every now and then and they've just been turning the printer off for an hour or two before using again.

Transfer belt and transfer roller were at 5% so changed those out, but still same issue.. Seems to last about 24 hours before pages start getting light

Any ideas on what is going to need to be replaced? (sorry in advance if this is obvious)

not sure but your toner isn't getting to where it's suppose to. Might be the dev unit.

Is the toner amount going down?
jam the copier and see if toner reaches the drum.

I had an issue where the toner wasn't reaching the hopper -motor wasn't turning the toner and thought it was the dev unit since it was starved
Motor, dev, and drum along with some boards were swapped and still wasn't working. -motor worked when tested.

Konica ran out of things for us to replace/check -but we're pretty sure it was the power supply...which was unavailable and made by panasonic

Does it happen on ALL colours or just mono ?

We have see the HVT cause this issue, if you take the board off & clean all the spring contacts, they can get corroded overtime. WD40 works best.

Toner amount is going down like normal

It's happening with all colors, but not sure if I'd feel comfortable with attempting your suggested fix myself

Know anyone experienced with Konica machines in the southern California area that would be willing to check this out? (paid of course)

Is it printing pages that have content blanked out or outputting additional black pages after a job completes. I have a C3850 doing the latter...
Randomly outputs additional pages after a job completes. Could not resolve this issue yet.

Just printing the actual pages that should have content as blank

This morning the printer had been without use since yesterday and was printing blanks, so seems like it's getting more frequent now..

Ok if you unplug the laser data cable it will print blank. Have a go at reseating the laser ribbon cables.

No weird stretchy prints in there or half blank pages? Any kind of artifacts on the blank pages?

From what others are saying my bet is on the developer unit, when they restart the machine the developer unit is working but it can only go so long until it is depleted (assuming it's bad) which makes less toner transfer to the image.
