    C3320i With jam code 32-05

    Good Afternoon,
I am having a problem with a C3320i and it is jamming only on duplex and it has a 32-05 jam code. Just reaching out to see if what I think I have to do, anyone has a solution?
I can see the two sided page coming out the top exit, it should not. It only has 131000 pages on it. The firmware is E9. We tried cleaning the exit gate to make it so it was pivoting a little easier. There is the page coming out of the machine on the top exit, a page behind it and a page going into the duplex. My theory is that the gate is not activating or releasing quick enough and that is causing my problem. So I guess I am looking to see if there is a better way, than taking this POS apart and cleaning it or what ever to do.

    Thanks
    KEN

Not sure about this model because we avoided them like the plague. We are using brother color machines instead of these.
You can try to stiffen up the gate spring a little. Works on the 758 and 958's.
    Whatever

It looks like quite a job to get to this exit path switch solenoid SD1.

I've had a couple where the exit turnover gate sticks. Not too bad, remove fuser then 4 screws to remove exit/turnover gate. also remove top cover once you pull the back away it comes off. 1 screw to move connector bracket out of way.Just make sure when you put it back in you have the solenoid on the correct side of gate. Also while you have out put a little grease on spots where roller shafts sit in plastic. It's where all the squealing comes from on these models.

Just a follow up. We brought the machine into the office. we did take out the exit unit, not that difficult. Cleaned everything up, did find a little burr, put it back together and we are working. So thanks for the input.
            Thanks
