Develop ineo+ 300i scan problem (KM bizhub 300i)

Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of a headache trying to get my Develop Ineo+ 300i(KM bizhub 300i) printer to play nice with my computer. I've connected it via USB, but no luck finding a compatible driver to get scanning up and running. Funny enough, I had the same issue with a Develop Ineo 4020i (KM bizhub 4020i) before, but I managed to sort it out using the CD that came with it (PS Plug-in Driver). Now, here's the kicker - the 300i didn't come with a CD, so I'm kind of stuck. Any ideas or tips from folks who've been in the same boat would be a lifesaver. Thanks a ton for any help you can throw my way!

the USB port for ^^^^ is on the front panel. once enabled you can scan and print to and from a flash drive but if you were led to believe to do "twain" scanning you still need it to go through TCP/IP not USB.
the USB type B socket on the main board will allow you to print but no scanning.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...
